Addiction

Addiction

Your enticing call haunts me
You know my deepest secrets
Luring me to the dark abyss
Plunging to forgetfulness

Your illusion is so tantalizing
Wrapping me in a blanket of maya
I struggle helplessly
As the spider's victim, anesthetized

Deep within, an ember glows
As I drown, it whispers to me
Being called home
Like a child in the dark
