Beautifully Blindfolded

Textures of satin
Smooth and fine
Comforting and snug
Around my eyes

Brilliant colours
Saffron and rose
Never to be seen
As eyelids enclose

Fingers reach up
Body sensing the veil
In love with the texture
The form and the feel

Protection from the world
Until I am ready to see
Safety in blindness
Darkness of love
