Poetic Taboo

Poetic Taboo

Eeewwwww, you are hiding in the shadows
I sense your lurking and fear
You don't know how beautiful you are
So you shrink in shame, wanting to be loved

Shunned and relegated to the deep dark alley or murk
I look the other way as I pass within inches of you
You pull at my sleeves, but I pretend it is just the wind
I am fine in my illusionary clean world of rules
